Hats with The Perfect Curve
Ever
been to the ball park and seen baseball “geeks” with their MLB
hats on with brims as straight as a ruler? They obviously don’t know about the perfect curve.
I’m not talking about the pitch, but the curve of the brim on
your ball cap. You know
what I’m talking about – that perfect arch, curved and
symmetrical. A real work
of art!
A
MLB hat is not intended to be worn with a straight brim.
Not unless you want to be banned to the bleachers.
Not
everyone is qualified to pull off the perfect curve.
As a matter of fact, a ball caps perfect curve is more of an
acquired skill. It can be
learned through practice, practice, and more practice!
You
baseball hat wearers know what I am talking about.
Carefully bending the MLB hats
brim until you think you have it just the way you like it. And then, you let go only to find the hats brim is lopsided,
or even worse, creased.
Well,
here is a lesson in pulling off the perfect curve for your ball cap:
-
Take
your hat and hold it upside down, hat brim facing you.
-
With
both hands, bend or curl each end of the hats brim upward until
the ends meet.
-
Turn
the hat back over and slowly start to roll the cylindrical brim
back and forth.
-
Release
the hat brim and hold it up – eyeball the brim to see if the
curve is perfectly equal.
-
If
not, you need more practice, practice, practice!
The
alternative to this ball cap exercise is a product called The Perfect
Curve by LIDS / HATWORLD. This
is a device that allows you to choose between three different curves
– Pro, Varsity, and Extreme.
The ball cap shaper also lets you store and wash your hat
without losing the curve.
For
those of you who are perfect-curve challenged or looking for an easy
answer, this is a perfect alternative.
