Shirts – Majestic Athletic to Produce Shirts for New
Washington Baseball
Team
If
you haven’t heard, the old Montreal Expos team is moving to
Washington DC starting with the 2005 season.
The company responsible for manufacturing replica
baseball shirts for the Montreal Expos, Majestic Athletics, has
a stockpile of Expos baseball apparel.
Expect
some great deals on Expos’ shirts, jackets, and other apparel
to hit the market shortly.
Majestic
Athletics is licensed to manufacture baseball shirts, both
authentic and replica, for Major League Baseball teams.
In recent years, Majestic produced the official baseball
shirt for 15 major league teams. Russell Athletic supplied the other 15 teams.
Starting
in 2005, Majestic will be supplying all 30 MLB teams with their
baseball uniform requirements.
Interestingly,
Majestic was licensed to supply the old Montreal Expos with
replica shirts, but not the official team shirts worn on the
field. With the new
Washington Capitals, the name picked to replace “Expos”,
Majestic will be the sole supplier of baseball shirts and
apparel for the team.
Majestic
Athletics expects sales of the new Capitals’ baseball shirts
and apparel to be brisk this year.
Washington
has waited 33 years to replace the old Washington Senators’
baseball team. As expected, support for the new Capitals’ team
will bring many excited fans to JFK Stadium.
A
good bet is that most will be donning a new Capitals’ baseball
shirt or baseball hat!
